OPEN MATCH SUNDAY 19th MAY.LANESIDE LAKE.
DRAW 9am, FISHING 10am-4pm.
Entry 12.00.
Pleasure Fishing. The two smaller lakes are fishing very well at the moment with plenty of Ide,roach,rudd,bream,perch and smaller carp (to 3lb) being caught. The Laneside lake is producing silvers and some tench,carp and bream.

Last Sundays match on the Roadside lake was won by Epworth angler Brian Clark. Fishing worm on pole off peg 18, he had 21-6 of silver fish.Equal second were Doncaster duo Dave Leach and Keith Marshall, Fishing pegs 7 and 3 they had 6-12.
Next open is on Sunday May 19th on Laneside lake,. Draw 9am fish 10am-4pm. Entry £12.00.
Pleasure fishing is going well with good catches on all lakes. The Laneside does seem to favour the early and later anglers with tench, bream and carp providing some good sport,

Dave the Bailiff

Sadly i have to tell you that Dave, our popular bailiff, suffered a stroke last Monday morning. Speaking to his wife Pat last night she said Dave has had and will be having more tests in the coming week. Dave is at home at the moment and we hope it will not be too long before we see him down on the Fishery. People keep asking where's Dave so l'm afraid thats the answer. Let's all hope for positive things.

good weekend

Quality fish were caught over the weekend with local angle Les Sidall having a 14-4 carp among his catch on Saturday. Two more carp of 12lb plus were also caught along with all the other smaller ones, The new stock of carp were showing well with plenty of the 1-7 to 2lb ones being taken, mainly on pellet feeder. Tench have proved good sport with good catches of the 3 to 6lb fish. The bream have been a little more difficult to tempt onto the hook.
The Roadside,with its new stock is fishing really well with plenty of ide,roach,perch,rudd and some crucians taken on pole with maggot,pellet and meat.

WARMER WEATHER

With warmer weather appearing at last, the fishing has improved. Over the last week, Carp to 12-3, Bream to 4-4 and Tench to 4-7 have been caught on the Laneside lake with worm, maggot and pellet the best baits. The Roadside lake has been fishing really well with plenty of Roach,Ide,Bream, Perch,Rudd all caught on maggot with light feeding.
New stock have been added to Roadside and Laneside Lakes with more to follow.

spring

Spring is just around the corner or so the saying goes. Well i for one will be plesed when we get round that corner. We have had numerous iced up lakes over the winter. At present the water and fish are icey to the the touch. Last weekend saw a rise in the temperature which resulted in better catches, with carp to 12-6, bream to 3lb and a 3-2 crucian all caught in the Laneside lake. The Roadside lake has been producing ide,perch,roach and bream, mainly to maggot/caster and chopped worm.
During the next few weeks more fish will be added to the Roadside and Fieldside lakes.These added to those put in the Roadside last month will bring us up to 700lb ( yes seven hundred) of new stock.
Some of the bigger fish will be moved into the Laneside lake, making it more of a specimen/match lake.
We are looking to hold open matches again,starting late April early May. When rest of stock arrive the decision will be made. Watch this space.
Last of all any anglers with self contained camper vans are welcome to stay overnight or longer. We have water and a toilet on site.
