Please note the Laneside Lake will be closed to pleasure anglers on Sunday 30 September and Sunday October 7th due to matches taking place. The other two lakes will be open for pleasure fishing.
Excellent catches during the past week with 100lb + being taken by one angler.

INVITATIONAL MATCH.
This SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 30th our invitational match takes place on the LANESIDE LAKE.
The match is open to all anglers who have fished any of our Sunday opens during the past 15 months. There is £240.00 added prize money.
Draw 9am, fishing 10am-4pm.
Entry is £20.00 (NO POOLS}

Plenty of fish been caught during past week. Roadside lake providing a lot of crucians, skimmers and ide and common carp. The Fieldside lake has been providing plenty of crucians and bream. Laneside giving good carp to 15-00. Tench,bream crucians all showing well, Fish a cast on maggot/caster, albeit small silvers but still good fun.
Sunday saw Scawthorpes club match take place on the laneside lake.
First three were 1,.K Marshall 37-8 carp on feeder peg 28. 2 M. Shiuito,..30-11 peg 20. 3 D Leach 17-08 (and one broken pole) peg 24.

Phew!!!

What a difference a week makes. From wet,wet,wet to hot,hot,hot. Though a welcome change from the recent wet weather to very high temperatures,this didn't make for good catching over the past week. There were plenty of small silvers caught, the carp seemsed to prefer basking in the heat.Last weekends matches were somewhat dissapointing with decent weights hard to come by. The fact that all anglers caught was of little consolation for some. As the week went on the fishing improved, with tench and bream coming to the fore along with the roach and crucians. The carp tend to be not to interested, although some up to 13-00 have been caught, these mostly in the evening. With the weather cooling down this weekend it is hoped the fish are back on the feed.
Blackpool angler "Daz" managed a little swimming practice as his rod disappeared off its rest. Taking the plunge Daz caught up with his rod and landed the culprit(carp) stood up to his chest in water,
